Guitar zero, guitar hero for realzees
For those of you who haven’t heard of the phenomenon Guitar Hero check it out. I am by no means a video gamer but I am in love with this game. So the short on it, you have a fake plastic guitar and you play a game where you imitate what the person the the screen does.
To give you an idea here is someone playing
Anywho, what I wanted to mention is that there is a band created real guitars from the plastic shells from the Guitar Hero guitars. The band is called Guitar Zeros. Here is a video of the band and here are instructions to make your own.

Check this out: I was this kid’s RA in college, and he played Guitar Hero a ton when it first came out. His addiction level was similar to the WoW kids.
Then he got really good, and ended up playing a song in front of 30,000+ at Pointfest in St. Louis this summer. Amazing.

Yeah there is a really good South Park episode about Guitar Hero. Make me feel kind of lame though :)

I am seeking help now for my addiction to GH. I had to have it and now I am slowly recovering.
The South Park episode did make me laugh…except for the end when I realized it was based on me.

It’s really be crazy how many people are addicted to this game and the newer one Rock Band. I’ve played GH a little. I’m no gamer anymore, but definitely enjoy pretending that I can strum out some tunes. Only thing I worry is poor kid… he needs to get out of the house more.
