Mac world is live and the social media world comes to a stand still
I’m watching Macworld and everything on the web is grinding to a stand still. Twitter tanked the minute it started. Ustream.tv (live video site) had a lot of people attending broadcasting, it’s currently tanked. iJustine had a camera in her purse that went down recently after it began LOL.
I have so many windows my browser just crashed.
Macrumorlive is probably the most consistently live feed.
Update: Here is the best video feed on ustream 9000 viewers currently
Update2: That feed is down now most up to date is Macrumorslive. Twitter is still currently flaky.
Update 3: Here is some word from twitter on their blog
” MacWorld
Twitter is currently experiencing some slowness related to the massive number of updates around Steve Job’s keynote at MacWorld. We’re working on it and will keep you updated!”
Update4: The show is over so in summary:
- Updated Mac Pro
- NewTime Capsule
- UpdateiPhone and iPod Touch
- New Movie Rentals for iTunes
- Update Apple TV software
- NewMacBook Air
Update5: TechChrunch also talk about their disappointment.
Pretty exciting the video should be on apple.com this afternoon. Also new homepage with Macbook Air and store is reopened with all items for sale !!!!!

I think I’m getting the Apple TV now, and I’m considering the Time Capsule if I can sell the 1TB I just bought. Overall, a pretty good day.

The first sane thing I’ve read about Twitter all year, with exception to this:
Twitter Must Die

Engadget always does a nice job. Ars Technica runs an IRC channel that stands up pretty well, too — #mwsf on irc.arstechnica.com. No photos in that one, of course.
