Shakin it up – Radiohead

radiohead_cd.jpg
I’m taking a first listen to the new Radiohead CD “In Rainbows” and other than the fact that I think Radiohead is a revolutionary band in general. I think they are really breaking the mold and going to change up the music industry. Such as the mobile phone industry, the music industry is trying to hold onto it’s way of old. Radiohead goes on its own and sells its own songs. This isn’t totally new. But the catch is that people can name their own price for purchase the CD.

Now bare in mind they are a large established band with a faithful following (probably a necessary requirement to do this). It should be interesting to see how this pans out. I hope that they collected really good data and will show that this may work. So the question you might ask is “What did I pay?” Well I was a good consumer. I paid £ 4.45, that equals around $9.07. Which I think was fair since it is only the download and not an actual CD. Well back to listening to my new CD. So good so far.
